Anthropic is offering its Claude AI models to all branches of the U.S. government for $1, aiming to expand federal AI adoption.

Anthropic has announced a strategic move to offer its Claude AI models to all three branches of the U.S. government for just $1, according to TechCrunch. This offer includes both Claude for Enterprise and Claude for Government, targeting the executive, legislative, and judiciary branches.

The initiative follows a similar offer by OpenAI, which recently made its ChatGPT Enterprise available to the federal executive branch at a nominal fee. Anthropic's offer is designed to remove financial barriers and promote the adoption of advanced AI tools across federal agencies. The company emphasizes that its Claude models meet the highest security standards, including FedRAMP High certification, allowing them to handle sensitive but unclassified government data.

Anthropic's Claude AI is already in use at institutions like Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory and the District of Columbia Department of Health, where it aids in scientific research and provides multilingual health services. The company is also providing technical support to help agencies integrate AI into their workflows, enhancing productivity and mission-critical operations.
