Anthropic Expands Claude for Legal with New Tools and Integrations
Anthropic has expanded its Claude for Legal platform with new plugins and connectors designed for law firms, announced in a press release. The update introduces integrations that connect Claude directly with widely used legal tools and data systems while maintaining security and governance standards.
The new features include Model Context Protocol connectors that link Claude with document management and legal research platforms such as DocuSign, Box, Thomson Reuters’ Westlaw, Ironclad, and iManage. These connectors allow lawyers to perform document searches, case law review, and drafting tasks directly within Claude.
Consilio has also integrated its Aurora Legal AI suite with Claude through a dedicated connector built on the Model Context Protocol. The integration enables users to query live Consilio matters inside Claude without moving or duplicating client data. The first capability available is Aurora Legal AI Investigate, which supports natural language queries across case documents and metadata.
Anthropic’s new release builds on earlier legal tool launches and continues the company’s effort to automate legal workflows across areas such as commercial, corporate, privacy, employment, and product law.
