Anthropic Files Confidential IPO Registration with SEC
Anthropic has confidentially submitted a draft registration statement on Form S-1 to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for a proposed initial public offering, the company announced in a press release.
The submission gives Anthropic the option to go public once the SEC completes its review. The company stated that the number of shares to be offered and the price have not yet been determined. The timing of the offering will depend on market conditions and other factors.
Anthropic made the filing under Rule 135 of the Securities Act of 1933. The company clarified that the announcement does not constitute an offer to sell or a solicitation to buy securities, and any sales will be made only in accordance with the registration requirements of the Securities Act.
