Anthropic co founder says AI could lift US GDP nearly 50% by 2030
Anthropic co founder Jack Clark said an internal model estimates that AI could increase US economic output by almost 50% to $44 trillion by 2030 under certain conditions, Reuters reports. The estimate assumes AI capabilities continue improving and that new industries and inventions support the expansion from current output of just over $30 trillion.
Speaking at annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank in Bangkok, Clark said AI could accelerate scientific research in mathematics, engineering, biology and drug discovery. He said researchers could work with hundreds or thousands of AI assistants.
Clark called for international cooperation on AI rules and said policymakers may have only a few years to establish safeguards as systems become more capable. He cited biological and cyber weapons as potential misuse risks and called for strict human oversight of biological research. He also said AI is already reducing some call center and customer service jobs, while supporting employment in scientific research.

Tensordyne Napier: What If One Rack Could Do the Work of Nine?
Tensordyne
This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
