Aizen Therapeutics Signs Oral Peptide Collaboration
Aizen Therapeutics has signed a multi program collaboration with a public biotech based in San Diego to design oral peptide therapeutics using its DaX foundation model, the company announced in a press release. The deal gives Aizen several million dollars in initial revenue and up to $100 million in milestones for each nominated target.
The collaboration will focus on oral peptides for validated biological targets in immunology and neurology. Aizen said the work will use DaX to design molecules intended for oral delivery.
Aizen was spun out from Caltech. The company said DaX has been trained on millions of annotated molecules and receptors and explores non canonical amino acid peptide chemical space at ten times the scale of traditional non canonical amino acid discovery methods.
