Airtel Business CEO backs AI guardrails in India
Sharat Sinha, CEO of Airtel Business, the enterprise unit of Bharti Airtel, supports India's planned AI regulatory framework, according to ET Telecom. He said rules should let companies deploy AI safely while gaining productivity.
India's government plans to release a consultation paper covering AI safety, deepfakes and a human first approach. The paper will provide a basis for future AI regulations.
Sinha said companies need guardrails and enterprise architecture that support the safe use of AI tools and agents. He added that greater AI adoption will increase demand for cloud services, data centers, connectivity and cybersecurity.
