AIRS Medical Expands MDR Certification for SwiftMR Across Europe

AIRS Medical has received expanded MDR certification from the EU for its AI-powered MRI solution, SwiftMR, allowing broader clinical use across all body parts.

AIRS Medical has received expanded Medical Device Regulation (MDR) certification from the European Union for its AI-powered MRI image enhancement solution, SwiftMR. Announced in a press release, this certification now covers all body parts, including the abdomen, breast, prostate, and pediatric imaging, in addition to previously approved applications for brain, spine, and musculoskeletal imaging.

The expanded certification facilitates broader clinical use of SwiftMR across Europe, providing healthcare providers with new tools to enhance patient care. SwiftMR uses deep learning technology to reduce MRI scan times by up to 50%, improving patient comfort and enabling imaging providers to serve more patients efficiently.

SwiftMR is already in use by over 800 hospitals, imaging centers, and diagnostic clinics worldwide. It enhances image resolution and detail, supports workflow efficiency, and is compatible with all scanner vendors and models, making it a versatile tool for imaging providers.
