Aethero Secures $8.4M for AI-Powered Space Computing
Aethero has raised $8.4 million in seed funding to develop its next-generation space-grade computers and autonomous satellite platforms, announced in a press release. The funding round was led by Kindred Ventures, with participation from Neo, Giant Step, O'Shaughnessy Ventures, and Alumni Ventures.
Aethero's technology focuses on enhancing on-orbit autonomy and connectivity through AI and machine learning. This allows satellites to perform real-time data processing and autonomous decision-making, which is crucial for defense applications such as missile warning and tracking. The company's systems aim to outperform traditional satellite technologies by reducing reliance on outdated processors and human input.
The new capital will support the development of advanced space-grade hardware and software, as well as two additional demonstration satellite missions. These efforts are intended to expand Aethero's capabilities in providing seamless space operations for both public and private sector clients.
