4DMedical Gains TGA Approval for CT:VQ Lung Imaging in Australia
4DMedical has received approval from the Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration for its CT:VQ imaging technology, according to a press release. The company will introduce the software in Australia, enabling ventilation and perfusion imaging without the use of contrast agents.
CT:VQ generates ventilation and perfusion data directly from routine non-contrast chest CT scans. The technology provides a software-based option that integrates with existing CT infrastructure, expanding access to functional lung assessment.
The TGA approval follows CT:VQ’s clearance by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration in 2025, where it has been deployed in leading medical institutions.
