System One Expands Nuclear Energy Team to Address Growing Industry Demand
PITTSBURGH, May 26, 2026 — System One announced in a press release the expansion of its Nuclear leadership team to meet rising demand in the nuclear energy sector. The company added three senior executives to support areas such as small modular reactors, outages and restarts, spent fuel management, and advanced field services.
Will Knopfel joins as Executive Vice President of Nuclear Field Services, bringing 19 years of experience from GE Vernova Hitachi Nuclear Energy, where he led refueling and maintenance projects across multiple continents. John Reeves becomes Executive Vice President of Nuclear Services after 35 years in commercial nuclear power, previously holding leadership roles at Framatome, Westinghouse, and Day & Zimmerman. Vince Bilovsky takes the role of Director of Spent Fuel Management Services, with over 25 years of experience in decommissioning and dry cask storage, including work at the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station.
System One stated that the expansion reflects its intent to serve a new generation of nuclear projects while maintaining support for existing utility and OEM clients. The company cited increasing investment in nuclear power tied to AI data center growth, manufacturing expansion, and federal clean energy programs as key factors driving its development.
