Nextbase has acquired the product, platform, and intellectual property of UK-based Humanising Autonomy, a leader in AI innovation for the automotive industry, announced in a press release. This acquisition aims to bolster Nextbase's commitment to driver safety and enhance its Dash Cam features.

The integration of Humanising Autonomy's technology will allow Nextbase to improve its proprietary computer vision and AI capabilities. This includes enhancements to features such as Guardian Mode, Witness Mode, and Smart Sense Parking. Additionally, the acquisition will advance Nextbase's Crowd Sourced Imagery (CSI) platform, which utilizes advanced object detection and learning algorithms.

Nextbase plans to incorporate these AI advancements into its Dash Cams, which have sold over 5 million units worldwide. The company aims to improve driver safety and efficiency through enhanced object detection, Advanced Driver Alerts, and driver monitoring systems. The CSI platform will also benefit from these improvements, enabling better road safety and infrastructure management through real-time imagery sharing with key stakeholders.
