Baidu Expands AI Agent Portfolio and Introduces Daily Active Agents Metric

May 14, 2026
Baidu announced new AI agent products and a company-wide focus on Daily Active Agents as the industry enters what it calls the agent era. The updates include the launch of DuMate mobile, Miaoda app and enterprise editions, Yijing digital human platform, and Famou Agent 2.0.

Baidu announced in a press release a major expansion of its AI agent portfolio and introduced Daily Active Agents (DAA) as a key measure of engagement. The company said the metric will define performance in what it calls the agent era.

At its Create 2026 event, Baidu launched the mobile edition of its general purpose agent DuMate. The agent now offers full synchronization between mobile and PC, allowing users to start tasks at any time. Since its initial release in March, DuMate has gained abilities to read screens, operate software, process files, and connect business systems.

Baidu also introduced new versions of its coding agent Miaoda, including a mobile app and enterprise edition. The company said the Miaoda app supports professional level coding on mobile devices, with most of its own code generated by the agent itself.

The digital human platform Baidu Yijing, rebranded from Huiboxing, now supports live streaming, video production, and interactive content generation. In addition, Baidu upgraded its self evolving agent Famou to version 2.0 and repositioned Baidu AI Cloud as a full stack platform designed for large scale agent applications.
